Dinah x Vee: Using AI to Uplift Voices and Drive Awareness

October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month — a time to amplify the voices of survivors, advocate for change, and remind our communities that healing begins with safety, compassion, and support. This month, we’re honoured to spotlight one of our inspiring partners, Dinah Philly, a Jewish organization based in Philadelphia that provides confidential, culturally sensitive support to survivors of domestic abuse.

We spoke with Rachel Yakobashvili, Director of Programs and Partnerships at Dinah, about their mission, the power of advocacy, and how technology — including Vee’s AI tools — has helped them amplify their impact.

Meeting Survivors Where They Are

“Justice looks different for everyone,” Rachel shared. “It doesn’t always look like leaving an abusive situation — and that’s okay. We have to meet survivors where they are, understand their needs, and walk beside them at their own pace.”

Dinah’s work is rooted in this philosophy of empathy and understanding. Through legal services, advocacy, community education, and outreach, the organization uplifts the voices of survivors and ensures they have access to the resources they need — from safety planning and filing for protection orders to connecting with housing, food, and financial support.

Dinah also provides community and professional education, offering CLE workshops for attorneys, judges, and paralegals, as well as advocacy programs that ensure Jewish voices are represented in the broader conversation around domestic violence on the local, state, and federal levels.

Their guiding phrase — “Voices for the Voiceless” — is more than a slogan. It’s a movement.

How Vee Helps Dinah Focus on What Matters Most

Like many nonprofits, Dinah once struggled to balance its mission-driven work with the daily demands of communication and outreach. “We were skeptical at first,” Rachel admitted when asked about adopting AI tools. “This whole AI thing is still so new. But for Dinah, it’s been nothing but benefits.”

By partnering with Vee, Dinah has been able to automate time-consuming tasks — from managing social media strategies and posting schedules to generating on-brand visuals and messaging — freeing their small team to focus on what truly matters: serving survivors.

“Vee has helped us focus on the mission and the work, instead of draining our energy on things like finding the best time to post or how to make our graphics cooler,” Rachel explained. “Now, we can put that energy toward the real work of serving survivors — and that’s priceless.”

A Partnership Built on Growth and Gratitude

As Dinah and Vee approach two years of partnership, Rachel reflected on how both organizations have evolved together:

“We’ve come such a long way, and we’ve helped each other grow. I’m immensely grateful for that.”

At Vee, we believe that when nonprofits thrive, communities flourish. Dinah’s impact is proof that when technology meets compassion, the results can be transformative — not just for organizations, but for the lives they touch.
